Bersyukur membantu individu fokus pada apa yang dimiliki daripada apa yang kurang mereka miliki. Perasaan bersyukur juga membuat individu terhubung lebih erat dengan apa yang berasal di luar dirinya, seperti hubungan dengan orang lain, alam, atau kekuatan yang lebih tinggi (dalam konteks agama).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bersyukur bukan hanya dapat diimplementasikan terhadap situasi saat ini. Individu dapat bersyukur dengan masa lalu (mengingat kembali kenangan positif dan berterima kasih atas elemen masa kecil atau anugrah masa lalu), masa kini (tidak meremehkan nasib baik yang datang), bahkan masa depan (bersikap optimis dan penuh harapan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pada kondisi demikian, individu yang bersyukur meyadari bahwa dirinya banyak menerima hal positif (kebaikan, penghargaan, dsb) dari aspek luar (orang lain, lingkungan, Tuhan) sehingga terdorong untuk menghargai dan berterima kasih atas segala sesuatu yang diterimanya dalam bentuk perasaan, perkataan, dan perbuatan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kemudian terkait kekuatan dari \u201cBersyukur\u201d itu sendiri seperti apa?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berbagai studi menunjukkan bahwa kebersyukuran secara konsisten berhubungan erat dengan kebahagiaan dan kesehatan, fisik maupun mental. Kebahagiaan diasosiasikan dengan semua bentuk rasa bersyukur, misalnya perasaan positif ketika mengatakan\/menerima kata \u201cterima kasih\u201d dari\/untuk orang lain. Kebersyukuran juga membantu menurunkan tingkat stress, kecemasan, hingga meningkatkan <em>self-love<\/em> dan empati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sekarang, bagaimana cara menumbuhkan rasa bersyukur? Beberapa metode yang dapat dilakukan antara lain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Membuat catatan rasa syukur\/terima kasih. Ekspresikan rasa terima kasih melalui tulisan. Kamu bisa juga mengirimkannya langsung pada orang lain untuk mengapresiasi dampak positif yang orang tersebut berikan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Berterima kasih di dalam hati. Jika mengekspresikan secara tulisan masih sulit, atau tidak ada waktu, kamu bisa juga cukup memikirkan hal positif yang kamu rasakan dari pihak lain dan berterima kasih di dalam hati.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hitung dan catat hal baik yang terjadi. Daripada fokus dengan hal yang buruk, cobalah untuk befokus pada hal-hal yang positif. Buatlah catatan seperti daftar untuk merefleksikan apa pengalaman positif yang kamu rasakan atau apa hal baik yang kamu syukuri pada kurun waktu tertentu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tapi ingat, bersyukur bukan berarti mengabaikan perasaan atau pengalaman negatif yang dirasakan, namun menfokuskan pada hal yang positif agar perlahan dapat menerima perasaan atau pengalaman negatif tersebut dan menentukan tindakan apa yang tepat untuk menghadapinya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Referensi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Juneja, J.L. 2022.
